As soon as you walk through the doors, the aromatic scents of exotic spices greet you, and you're immediately immersed in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned lover of Indian cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore new flavors, De Flavors Of India has something to delight your senses.

One of the standout features of De Flavors Of India is its diverse menu. From the moment you scan the offerings, it's clear that this restaurant takes pride in showcasing the vibrant flavors of India. The menu is packed with a range of options, from classic curries like butter chicken and lamb vindaloo to lesser-known but equally delicious regional specialties. Every dish is crafted using high-quality ingredients, with spices sourced directly from India to ensure the authenticity of each flavor profile.

The chicken tikka masala, for example, is a crowd favorite. The tender pieces of chicken are marinated in a blend of yogurt and spices, then roasted to perfection before being simmered in a rich, creamy tomato sauce. It's a comforting dish with just the right amount of heat, offering a perfect balance of flavors that keep you coming back for more. The saag paneer, a vegetarian delight, features homemade paneer cheese cooked in a vibrant spinach sauce, making it a perfect choice for those seeking something light but satisfying.

For those who enjoy the heat, the lamb vindaloo is a must-try. This dish, known for its spicy kick, is packed with flavors from vinegar, garlic, and an array of Indian spices. It’s a dish that can easily stand out with its bold, intense flavors, perfect for spice enthusiasts who aren’t afraid to dive into the heat. Pair it with a serving of naan or steamed basmati rice, both of which are freshly made and complement the richness of the curry.

The staff at De Flavors Of India plays a crucial role in creating an exceptional dining experience. Friendly and knowledgeable, they are always eager to guide you through the menu and suggest the perfect pairing. They’re also accommodating to dietary restrictions, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and catered to, whether you're looking for gluten-free options or vegan choices.

If you're new to Indian food, the restaurant's lunch buffet is a great way to explore a variety of dishes without the commitment of ordering a full entrée. It’s a perfect way to try small portions of multiple dishes, allowing you to sample a wide range of flavors-from rich, creamy gravies to zesty, tangy chutneys. The buffet is replenished regularly, ensuring that everything is fresh, and the rotating selection guarantees you’ll find something new to try on each visit.

The ambiance at De Flavors Of India is another highlight. The interior is thoughtfully designed, with elegant touches that reflect the heritage of India. Traditional artwork adorns the walls, and the soft lighting creates a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Whether you’re enjoying a family dinner, a romantic night out, or a gathering with friends, the atmosphere feels welcoming and comfortable.

In addition to its savory dishes, De Flavors Of India offers a variety of desserts that shouldn’t be missed. The gulab jamun, small deep-fried dough balls soaked in sugary syrup, is a sweet ending that pairs perfectly with a hot cup of masala chai. The rasgulla, another popular dessert, is a light, spongy sweet soaked in syrup and offers a delightful contrast to the richness of the main courses.

For anyone in the Spartanburg area looking for an authentic Indian dining experience, De Flavors Of India should be at the top of your list. The combination of excellent food, friendly service, and a warm atmosphere makes it a standout in the local dining scene. • This was my first time here and I didn’t notice on Google that it said take out only, so I was confused when I walked because it’s a convenience store that also serves Indian food for take out. They sell drinks, snacks, beer, lottery tickets amongst other things. The cashier was friendly. My husband drove 45 minutes to go there so we had to improve and drive to a strip mall that had outdoor tables. No one’s fault, just a misunderstanding from looking up restaurants on the internet. The food was delicious. They offered paper plates and disposable silverware. There was a bench by the door you can sit at while waiting for your food. The food was hot, delicious, and fresh. Will be returning!

  • I have been on a chicken tikka masala and butter chicken kick this last week and have only ever gone to Greenville to satisfy my cravings. Living in Boiling Springs I finally decided to look to see if there was anything closer. De Flavors came up by the Spartanburg YMCA and I was shocked. I called 50 minutes before closing to make sure they took phone orders as I couldn’t find any online menu. Placed an order for 2 orders of chicken tikka an order of butter chicken and 2 orders of garlic naan. Arrived at what appeared to be a little convenient store with front restaurant walk in, the atmosphere inside is not suited for sitting and eating but for pick up only. I waited 20 minutes for my food and was on my way $62 later. *My fault (no pictures attached of the food) all very bright, colorful and fragrant. My orders feed 5 and we still have left over chicken tikka, rice and naan. The flavor was so good a little spicer than what I like but I was able to manage and my husband was nothing but pleased. My craving was more than satisfied and I will be back very soon.

  • This place is a gem, absolutely and spectacularly delicious. What can't I say about this hidden jewel. I came from out of town to go here for my birthday . My daughter who lives in the area raved about it. This exceeded my expectations. The butter chicken, the samosas, the homemade sauces, and the best, softest, butteriest garlic naan you ever tasted. This place is the true flavors of india India . To top it off the chef and owner is kind, compassionate, patient. I have never seen such attention to detail. I didn't like this place I absolutely loved it! The environment is so welcoming one person cooks your food with love. The butter chicken is to die for. I promise you you will not regret this place. Thankyou for making my day special. I forgot the name of the dessert he gave us to try but it was delicious.

  • If you're craving authentic Indian cuisine, this place is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, the inviting aroma of spices fills the air, setting the perfect tone for the meal ahead. The menu is packed with flavorful options that cater to all tastes, whether you're a fan of rich, creamy curries or prefer something more savory and spicy. I highly recommend the butter chicken, which is incredibly tender and smothered in a velvety sauce that strikes the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The rice is another standout – fragrant, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The bread and snacks are amazing! The staff is friendly and brings to you in a tray since its not a sit down restaurant, ensuring that every part of your experience is enjoyable. It's a gem hidden in a convenience store which is very convenient, of course. I can’t wait to return!

  • I recently gave this spot another try after a few years. My first experience wasn't a good one, but I'm SO happy I gave them another chance. The food was delicious, complex, and there was a lot of it! I had the Butter Chicken, Mini Samosa, and Garlic Naan. It was poppin!

  • First time eating Indian food and I was not disappointed. I had the butter chicken, garlic naan, and the mango lassi. The butter chicken was great, and at first I ate it with the rice. Then I dipped the garlic naan in there and it BLEW my mind. It was SOOO good I still can’t stop thinking about it. I usually don’t leave reviews but I think this place is underrated. 5/5 would eat again.

  • I love Indian food and had been meaning to try this place for some time. The food was so good! When I asked for spicy, I appreciate the man at the front asking if I would prefer "American spicy" or "Indian spicy." I opted for American, which was a good level of spice for me. So delicious. I am also not a big fan of mango anything, but I tried the Mango Lassi, and it was so good and creamy. I will be back again very soon.
